As a key to flourish cultural tourism we are going to launch a brand new tourism concept of FILM TOURISM (hapenning first time in India) which is a blend of two most important entertainment industries :: Tourism & Cinema.
Tourism & Film both are most important entertainment factor worldwide. It is easy for Tourism and Cultural Industry to converge due to their common cultural and economic attributes. Since ages human love to travel for exploring the unknown. Same in film people love to see outdoor locations of the creation and dream for visiting there in fantasy.
During 30th December 2016 to 1st January 2017, we are heading for Purulia with our third film tourism project in South Bengal. We are blending our tour with best awarded films by reknowned Directors from our fantasy world. Our research work on next projects (On Location North Bengal & Kolkata City) is going to be ready very soon.
The Itinerary:- Film Tourism @ Purulia :: CINE STEPS
1ST DAY – Early morning we start from Kolkata. Transfer to Heerak Rajar Desh. Shooting for famous Heerak Rajar Deshe by Satyajit Ray took place here. Situated very near to Raghunathpur town, these 4 rocky hill namely “Joychandi Pahar”. After riding around 500 steps, one gets to see a magnificent view from the hilltop. There’s a temple of Chandimata and Bajrangbali on one of the hilltop. The fresh air of Jaichandi is excellent beside the unnamed hills and water bodies surrounding.
After lunch at Joychandi proceed for a film location where Srijit Mukherjee’s Rajkahini and Aparna Sen’s Arsi Nagar Movies were created.
Transfer to Purulia. Check in hotel. Brief interaction with “Puruliyar Golpo-Sholpo”. Dinner & night stay at Purulia.
2nd Day – After Breakfast enjoy the locations of famous films as Buddhadeb Dasgupota’s Uttora & Manda Meyer Upakhhyan, Kamaleshwar Mukhopadhyay’s Meghe Dhaka Tara, Italo Spinelli’s Gangoor (Released in Itali), Goutam Ghosh’s Sunya Onko, Bikram Motwane’s Lootera etc. Transfer to the famous Ayodhya Hill via Zigzag road with wide and magnificent view of nature. After lunch Visit Pathor Khedan, Upper Dam, Lower Dam and transfer to Charida.
Enjoy the hospitality of Charida. The Village Charida (Chorda) is internationally famous for Masks which are used in Cho. These Cho masks are not only used for dance but also for decoration as wall hangings. People from different countries visited this place for this exquisite art form. This Craft village Charida is a live workshop of artisans who are engaged in the making of Cho mask since generations.
Evening Free For Local Interaction. Enjoy a visual presentation on Purulia. Dinner & Night Stay.
3rd Day – After breakfast explore a film location where Ranbir & Sonakshi’s Lootera Movie was created. This place is considered as a land of temples. The place is home to approximately 15 temples that are close to the Kansai river. This region is known for the architecture and the intricacy in carvings and decorations in its temples. Among the temples and sculptures that date back to the Pal and Sen dynasties few stand intact still now, located on the bank of Kansabati river.
After lunch board train for Kolkata.
